About the Grand Bleu De Gascogne (Imp)
This distinguished, long-legged French scent hound was originally employed for taking down wolves, and more recently, for pursuing hare. Similar to many French hounds, it's thought to have arrived in England with the Norman forces during the 11th century. Its distinctive mottled colouring, like the Basset Bleu de Gascogne, gives it the characteristic 'bleu' in its name, making it a truly aristocratic presence in the canine world.
