About the White Swiss Shepherd Dog (Imp)

The White Swiss Shepherd Dog, recognised as a distinct breed in Switzerland in 1991 and by the Kennel Club in 2017, emerged from a light-coloured lineage of the German Shepherd Dog. Although white colouring was once considered a fault in the German breed, this particular line was first registered in the United States in 1917, with imports arriving in Switzerland in the 1970s to establish the breed there. These dogs come in both medium and long coat types. Today, this breed is much admired globally, not just for exhibition, but also as a devoted companion, thanks to its intelligence and trainability.
