Hailing from Boston, USA, where its initial club was formed in the 1890s, the Boston Terrier quickly gained fame, becoming America's most popular breed by the 1950s. This smallest of the 'Bull breeds' descends from an early cross between a Bulldog and a White Terrier, inheriting its smart brindle and white markings.
