About the Bull Terrier (Miniature)
Although smaller Bull Terriers existed in the 19th century, the Miniature Bull Terrier gained recognition as a distinct variety in 1943. This miniaturisation was achieved by breeding smaller specimens of the Bull Terrier, with breeders striving to maintain the breed's characteristic head type, substance, and overall soundness in a more compact frame, ideally under 35.5 cm (14 inches).
