About the Bullmastiff
This venerable English breed was developed in the 19th century to help gamekeepers thwart poachers. Descended from the Bulldog and Old English Mastiff, it was bred for a formidable size and courageous temperament, combined with sufficient athleticism to chase intruders. While gamekeepers initially preferred brindle dogs for camouflage, the fawn variety, frequently displaying a black mask, is now more prevalent, making this a truly imposing and dedicated guardian for any estate.
