Hailing from Greenland, this remarkable dog represents the territory's sole native canine, a testament to its resilience. It famously overcame a devastating dog disease and maintained its distinct genetic purity, safeguarded by legislation that prohibited interbreeding with foreign dogs. Physically, this robust breed occupies a middle ground between the substantial Alaskan Malamute and the more agile Siberian Husky.
