The Ibizan Hound, or Podenco Ibicenco, hails from Ibiza and the adjacent island of Formentera, where it has been a rabbit hunter for thousands of years. Its elegant outline and distinctive large ears are even depicted in ancient Egyptian tomb drawings. This breed, known for its relatively straight front angulation and light, hovering gait, comes in both smooth and rough coat types.
