About the Japanese Spitz
The Japanese Spitz is a relatively recent breed, first gaining recognition from the Japanese Kennel Club in 1948, with its UK acknowledgement following in 1977. This lovely white dog is thought by some to have Samoyed and White German Spitz ancestry, influencing its development in the early 20th century. Having gained popularity beyond Japan after being exported to Sweden and other European countries, it makes a wonderful, bright-eyed companion.
