The Lancashire Heeler is thought to be a delightful blend of the Welsh Corgi and Manchester Terrier, originating from the era when cattle were driven from Wales to Ormskirk markets. Known locally as the Ormskirk Heeler, this breed inherited distinctive 'thumb marks' on its front legs from the Manchester and its low stature and herding instinct from the Corgi. This lively and intelligent little dog has deservedly gained popularity as a wonderful family companion.
