About the Miniature Pinscher
This delightful breed is a smaller version of the German Pinscher, originally bred for vermin control. While its miniature form also served as a ratter, it now enjoys a fulfilling life as a cherished family pet. The first breed club was established in Germany in 1895, though it didn't arrive in the UK until the 1950s. Both in the UK and USA, the breed has been developed to exhibit a distinctive high-stepping 'hackney' action, differing from its country of origin's standard. This lively little dog brings much joy to its owners.
