About the Pyrenean Mountain Dog
One of the tallest pastoral breeds, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog has guarded flocks in the Pyrenees since the Middle Ages. Its gentle and elegant nature earned it favour in royal courts, with Louis XIV even naming it the Royal Dog of France. This calm and gentle worker served as a messenger and pack dog for the French Army during World War II. Today, this majestic dog continues to impress with its noble presence and calm demeanour.
