About the Tibetan Spaniel
This delightful breed comes from Tibet, where it was highly valued by monks as both a companion and a vigilant watchdog, often sharing monasteries with Lhasas. European visitors first dubbed them 'spaniels' due to their resemblance to toy spaniels, a name later adopted by the Kennel Club. The breed became well-established in the UK after World War II, thanks to dedicated individuals who brought dogs back from Tibet. These charming little dogs make wonderful, alert companions.
