About the Tibetan Terrier
Despite its name, the Tibetan Terrier is not a true terrier but was historically employed for herding duties in Tibet. This squarely built, rustic-looking breed first arrived in England in the 1930s, brought by Dr. Greig, an English surgeon working near the Indian/Tibetan border. Her 'Lamleh' strain was crucial in establishing the breed in the UK and USA. With its distinctive appearance, the Tibetan Terrier has become a popular and much-admired show dog.
