About the Welsh Corgi (Pembroke)
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi, a beloved breed from Wales, is slightly smaller and less long-bodied than the Cardigan, with smaller ears and straighter front legs. Historically, its tail was docked, though natural bobtails are now bred. This breed has always been the more popular of the two Corgi types, significantly aided by royal patronage starting with King George VI and continuing with Queen Elizabeth II. Its cheerful disposition and endearing appearance make it a cherished companion.
